The FORTE CULTURA General Assembly 2024 took place on 8 April 2024 in Strasbourg in the building of the Collectivité européenne d'Alsace (Alsace European Community), with a view of parts of the fortifications of Strasbourg.

The FORTE CULTURA Executive Committee reported on the activities and finances of 2023 and gave an outlook for 2024 and 2025. The main points were the positive membership development, the preparation of new cross-border projects and international cooperation, new FORTE CULTURA marketing tools, the new websites www.forte-cultura.network and www.forte-cultura.com, the FORTE CULTURA aid programme for the Medzhybizh fortress in Ukraine and the FORTE CULTURA pilot trips in 2023 and 2024.

Natasa Urošević also presented the results of the FORTE CULTRURA Scientific Advisory Board from the past year and the tasks ahead.

28 participants from 6 countries took part in the FORTE CULTURA members' meeting on site or online. We would like to thank our partner Alsace Destination Tourisme for their hospitality and great support with the organisation and implementation. The General Assembly was part of the FORTE CULTURA Annual Congress 2024 in Strasbourg.

New FORTE CULTURA video fortress portraits

FORTE CULTURA has launched a programme to create high-quality fortress videos. The videos will introduce the exciting fortress history and architecture of our member sites in 5 minutes each. Explore the cultural heritage of fortified monuments in Europe with FORTE CLTURA.

The first prototypes were created together with Michal Pliva from exploreprague.cz for the Prague Vysehrad and Terezín fortresses. The two videos were premiered in Strasbourg.
